Back up Creator Robert Plank

If you are flipping websites, then you know how important having backups and an easy way to setup a site you just sold on some one else’s server is. How about a literally one button way to give your customer the site you just sold them?

Or better yet, how about creating one site as a template, then creating clones of that site in seconds to sell. How much money could you make if you could clone sites rather than build them from scratch? Lots I’d say.

Well, now there really is a way. A very easy way! I was just really lucky and purchased a great new plugin that backs up your WordPress websites. It’s called Backup Creator and it was created by Robert Plank. And it couldn’t have come at a better time for me.

I was looking into backup options and found they are either messy, technical and/or expensive. So when I saw one for $7, I bought before reading anything. It was worth risking seven bucks to me.

And since then, a few hours ago, I have downloaded and played with this thing. And all I can say is AWESOME! Soooo easy! It is a WordPress plugin. You load it to your site like any other plugin. Nothing special or out of the ordinary at all.

Once you’ve placedt the Backup Creator plugin on your blog, click one button and you are done. It backs up everything including your database, settings, links, what ever in just a few seconds. Then you can save a copy of your entire website to your desktop with just one click. So now if your server goes kaput, no worries. You have everything you need. How can it possibly be easier?!

To transfer a blog to a new server or where ever you want, just install a new, fresh WordPress installation and add the plugin you saved. One click and presto, you carbon copy blog is now active. It really is that easy! This plugin is amazing. Hats off to Mr. Robert Plank for this one.

Here is how I plan to use the Backup Creator plugin. I have a lot of AdSense and affiliate sites with a lot of premium themes, plugins and what have you. Now I can make one ‘template blog’, and use that every time i create a new site. No more uploading all of the plugins, themes, etc…it’s all done for me.

I know this is hypey, and I apologize. I just haven’t seen this kind of value soooo cheap in a very long time. One time payment of $7 right now. Then it’ll go up to $17. Still a steal at either price. Most of the backup software I was looking into were $90+.

The closest thing I saw to this was Jason Fladlien’s WP Twin. This is better! And btw, I wonder how Jason feels about all of this as Robert Plank is his mentor. Interesting :)

Here are a few tidbits from the website:

Instant Backup

Your website empire setup for free? Part 2 is a post from: Website Flipping

Here is the second half for all of you website flipping junkies looking to build a back office. If you’d like to read part 1 of Your website empire setup for free? first, click the link.

Now that you have your computer’s basic operating system all figured out, the next great piece of software you’ll need to complete your desktop computer setup is also free. Open Office is a fantastic open source project backed by Sun Microsystems. It does around 90% plus of what Microsoft Office (MO) does, but for free! And I mean 90%++. Unless you need something very unique, Open Office is the perfect program for all of your word processing needs. And like MSO, it also has a spreadsheet for all of your data, a dictionary, Presentation which is the equivalent of a Power Point program, and the Evolution mail client that is as good as Outlook or better!

Again, this program is very easy to download, install and use on any computer. It is supported by all operating systems including Windows, Mac and Linux. It even comes in a slew of foreign languages from Chinese to German. Why anyone buys MSO anymore is truly beyond my understanding.

So with all of the above we have our computer set up with an operating system, maybe even our own server to host our sites on, plus a bunch of other miscellaneous tools to create and transfer our HTML sites with. Now how about a great free browser that not only browses the web safely and efficiently, but also helps us do our jobs well.

Say hello to Firefox. Firefox for me is the ultimate browser. And while it isn’t perfect, it sure is the most stable, secure and helpful for our needs out there today. That is why I recommend it as the first one to be installed on your computer. It comes as the default browser with Ubuntu Linux. If you are building your own sites, I also recommend you install a number of browsers including Windows ??, Opera and Chrome. That way you can see what others would see when viewing your new sites.

There are a lot of great add-ons for Firefox, and to try and list them all here would make this article too long. So just Google Firefox add-ons and you’ll find a bunch of people that can explain each one in detail far better than I ever could.

In closing, if you use all of the software I mentioned above, you should have a great, stable, secure and best of all free desktop to run your website and blog flipping business from. Maybe even your own free server. And remember, you don’t need the newest or most expensive hardware. Use what is already available to you until you begin making money. Or until you know you will stick with flipping. There is just no need to pay for anything in the beginning. Use your cash for buying great keyword laden domain names or link juice for your sites.

So good luck and let me know what you think about this article. Do you have something to share? Please comment below or post in our forums. Anything you can add to help our community is fantastic and appreciated. And don’t forget about out opt in list so you can get our announcements first!

Making Money with a Blog is a post from: Website Flipping

Blogging has become a popular and highly effective way to make money online and provide information to people on a subject that you are passionate about discussing. Starting a blog is a fairly easy process; however, making money from a blog takes some planning, patience, and hard work.

The first thing needed to start a profitable blog is a good subject matter, also known as a good niche. Blogs that do not have a single theme tend to fail because they do not often attract a loyal following of like-minded individuals or high search engine rankings for various keywords within a niche. The best subject matter to start a blog with is something you are experienced with and have some knowledge about. Everyone has a talent so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find a blog topic. The blog subject can be a hobby, something you love to do, or even something you are learning about currently. For example, a new mom could write about her experiences learning how to be a parent.

One you have your subject then you need to find a good blog host. For beginners a free blog may be the best way to go. Two that are easy to use and start with are blogger.com and wordpress.com although I prefer blogger because it’s run by Google, super easy to use, can be easily dropped if your niche doesn’t work out, and many internet marketers like to use it.

Once you are set up with a blog provider and you have your niche picked, it is time to start writing. For an popular blog, it is recommend that you post a minimum of three times a week, but the most important thing you can do is build lots of inbound links to the blog to increase rankings, traffic and earnings.

Now, if the content is flowing and you are starting to get a good following, it is time to monetize your blog. Making money blogging entails a variety of things. The three most popular revenue streams are adsense, affiliate marketing, and selling advertising.

Affiliate links are a form of advertising within your blog. This is done in two ways, through a banner ad or direct links from words in the text of your blog. Adsense is a Google advertising product that is code inserted into your blog allowing Google to link websites into your blog based upon the content and theme of the blog. Clickbank and Commission Junction are two of the most popular affiliate companies on the web today. Their client lists include many popular retailers.

Making money blogging is easy in terms of the technology used and income streams available. Anyone who feels comfortable in front of a computer writing about a certain topic should have no problem developing a good blog. The keys to making money blogging are picking a profitable niche, providing quality content, and building enough backlinks to get high search engine rankings.

Put it all together an you will have yourself a profitable blog. You can then collect the money monthly or flip your blog for a large one time profit.

How Much Is My Blog Worth? is a post from: Website Flipping

When you are looking to flip a blog or sell a website, you always want to have a general idea of what it’s worth before you put it up for sale. How to determine how much your blog is worth really depends on who you talk to. There are several schools of thought on deciding the value of a website.

There’s a saying that you may have seen before and it goes something like this, “Your site is worth as much as someone is willing to give you for it” – but that doesn’t help you much in determining what to start your price at when flipping blogs / websites.

So, how much is your site worth?

When figuring out the value of a website or blog, there are a few different formulas you can choose from:

1) For a newer site that doesn’t have a long history of earnings but does make some money each month, you will usually take 10 times the monthly income it brings in. So, if your blog made you $100 last month but it’s less than a year old, you can probably get about $1000 out of it.

2) If you have a premium site that has been well established online for a long time, gets a lot of traffic, and consistently makes a lot of money every month, you can usually get anywhere from 2-3 times the yearly income that it brings in. So, if your site earns $50,000 per year, you could get up to $150,000 for it.

3) Brand new sites with little to no traffic or earnings will not usually sell for very much and it is very hard to determine their value. In this case you will usually be looking at the “potential” the site has or how much original content is already published on the blog. You can expect to make maybe $50 to $300 from the sale of a site like this, depending on a number of factors.

Remember that these are just ball park figures. In some cases you might get a lot more or a lot less for a site that fits in one of these categories.

That’s the basics of establishing the value of your site. There’s no set rule for how much websites are worth and blog flipping values can largely be determined by the market. However, you can use the above information as a general guideline for the next time you are flipping a blog so you don’t set your price too high or low.

5 Easy Ways to Find Good Blogging Topics is a post from: Website Flipping

Are you having a hard time thinking of topics to blog about? Or are you struggling to find good topics to build blogs/sites around for blog flipping? That sometimes happens and you need to use a some creativity to come up with a list of great blogging ideas. Below are five easy ways to do exactly that:

1) News headlines

No matter the subject of your blog, chances are there are a handful of headlines that would pertain to it every week. These don’t have to be breaking news alerts, but rather think about new product announcements, industry news, and even slightly related news subjects. Take a few minutes to visit bigger news portals online each morning and skim through the headlines. Not just the big national headlines, but also finance, technology, entertainment, sports, and more. Do any of these stories relate to your blogs topic? Write about it!

2) Google alerts

Google offers a fantastic alert service that will send you an email every time it comes across news, blog entries, videos and more, when they relate to a keyword (or keyword phrase) that you specify. Create Google alerts for your main keywords, long-tail keyword phrases, and even product or company names that relate to your blog topic. You may want to set up a filter or a separate email address for these alerts, or just set them up to come through once a day or once per week.

3) Article directories

Busy article directories are great places to find ideas for your own blog posts. Visit the categories that match your blog topics, and start making a list of ideas. You can also check out other categories that may not be directly related but still contain plenty of ideas that you can apply to your own niche market.

4) Other blogs

Do you read other blogs on your topic? If not, you should be! Create a separate folder in your favorites and bookmark as many related blogs and websites as you can find. Spend a few minutes each day browsing through them, and keep a running list of ideas that are sparked by what you see there. Obviously, you don’t want to directly copy anyone else’s ideas but use them as a starting point for your own.

5) Discussion forums

Discussion forums are loaded with excellent questions, insights, ideas and more that you can use for your blog. Every time you see someone asking a question, jot it down and later write a post about it. In fact, keep a notepad handy while you participate in forums and jot down all of the great ideas that are sparked as you interact with others, and find a way to use them in your blog.

Using those 5 simple resources should give you plenty of topics to write about on your own blog or to use for building site flipping blogs. You shouldn’t have any trouble coming up with post ideas ever again.
