I have been making money online as an internet marketer since May of 2003 and during that time I have built a very successful online business. I am always on the lookout for new income streams and when I find one with a lot of potential I usually give it a try to see if it’s something I want to keep doing. That’s exactly how I got into blog flipping.
I had heard about buying and selling websites, a.k.a. “site flipping” or “blog flipping”, many times but never tried it out until January of 2008 when I sold a website for $750. In the following months I sold several sites for profits of anywhere from $150 to $500 and really started seeing the potential of this method for making money, but still didn’t get serious about it for a while.
Around the middle of 2008 I noticed that blog flipping and site flipping (which is basically the same thing) was really taking off as a hot topic in the make money online world. Numerous blogs, sites, and products started popping up everywhere with blog flipping information.
I started reading all these blogs and purchased a few of the products, and realized that blog flipping is a very good way to make money online. That was when I really decided to add it as another income stream for my online business. I have since sold several more sites/blogs for profits up to $2500 and I am in the process of developing more blogs that I will eventually sell.
I started the Blog Flipping University as a way to educate other people on how to make money online flipping blogs and websites. I will share methods that I personally use to flip blogs for profit as well as methods I have been taught by other successful blog flippers but haven’t actually used myself.
Update: I recently sold a website/blog for $48,000 which is my biggest flip to date. Although it wasn’t technically a “website flip” because I had owned it for a long time and built it from scratch. However, it still shows how much money you really can make from selling websites & blogs.
